Catoctin Creek Clean-up was held. 

Every April, Keep Loudoun Beautiful and the Lovettsville Boy Scout Troop 962 conduct stream clean-ups to help keep Catoctin Creek scenic. Catoctin Creek is a picturesque and valuable water resource to the community and the county. With your help, we are expanding the clean-up activities to increase community-wide awareness and celebration our beautiful stream.

2006 Loudoun Strategy for Watershed Management Solutions (SWMS)

Participating groups from LWW attended 4 meetings of the LouLoudoun Strategy for Watershed Management Solutions (SWMS)  The project is a collaborative effort to coordinate existing watershed efforts and define a shared vision for watershed activities across Loudoun County. The development of a watershed management plan provides a planning and working document for both government and citizen activities. The Final Report is aimed at developing a strategic plan that will compile and evaluate optimum strategies for water resource management.  The meetings culminated in establishing a bridge committee

 

"Loudoun State of the Streams 2005" was presented to Loudoun Strategic Watershed Management Solutions in Feb 2006.

Catoctin Watershed Project

In support of stream water quality, the CWP project continued in western Loudoun between Purcellville, Lovettsville and Waterford area.  The project activities include stream monitoring for fecal coliform and two educational events.
