Monitoring Data Animation
Animation of stream monitoring data provides a means to concurrently view the spatial distribution as well as the evolution over time. Using ArcGIS, animations files are saved as .avi movie files. These are converted to Acrobat Flash file format.Benthic and habitat data from 23 sites using ANS/RBP are animated. The LWW data include monitoring efforts of LWC, NFGC, S&W, and ANS. In 2008 LWC switched to VA SOS protocol.

The Goose Creek Association conducted 272 benthic stream monitoring events at 23 sites between 2003 and 2008 using VA SOS protocol.

VA DEQ monitors using EPA RPB protocol. Data from ProbMon are collected quarterly at several sites.

Stream monitoring data and land use practices are included. Bacteria data from DEQ (900+ readings at several sites 1993-2008) and Catoctin Watershed Project (800+ readings at 12 sites 2005-2008) are included. The Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District provides cost-shared on numerous agricultural practices. Annual updates are show. As part of the TMDL Implementation, the Dept of Health implemented 26 septic system corrective measures between 2003 and 2008.
