2003 Annual Family Stream Day

Saturday, October 18, 2003 
10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 
Ashburn Public Library 43316 Hay Road, Ashburn

On Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, an "X-Stream-ly Awesome" day in and around the Ashburn Library is planned. This 2rd annual "Exploring Our Streams Day" planned by Loudoun Watershed Watch, will offer exploration of a local urban stream and hands-on discovery of the relationship between urban stormwater management, stream health, and the many ways you can help your local streams and environment Children's program at Ashburn Library

The day's events will include:
  • Guided stream walks
  • Water quality monitoring demos
  • Scout badge activity
  • Birding/habitat walk
  • Stormwater
  • Crafts for kids
  • Loudoun County Sanitation Authority watershed model
  • Indoor exhibits
  • Poster contest award ceremony
